Been doing cross-border DTC for a while. Competitor research used to eat up half my day — manually checking stores, guessing their revenue, hunting for contacts on LinkedIn.
A couple weeks ago I tried the Ecommerce Website Data skill and it kind of just solved that problem.
You ask things in natural language like:
-
“find Shopify stores selling yoga mats in the US with over $500K revenue”
-
“what apps does allbirds use”
-
“show me revenue trends for anker”
And it comes back with actual structured data — GMV estimates, traffic, social followers, installed apps, even verified LinkedIn contacts of decision-makers.
A few things I use it for most:
Niche validation — before stocking a new product, I search the keyword and instantly see how many stores are in that space, what their revenue looks like, and whether the niche is growing or flat.
Stealing competitor’s tech stack — sounds shady but it’s not lol. I just look up what apps top sellers in my category are using (Klaviyo? Yotpo?) and skip the trial-and-error.
Finding B2B contacts — the contacts feature gives me verified emails and LinkedIn profiles of decision-makers, way faster than manual searching.
Covers 14M+ stores, 200+ countries, all major platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix, Shopline, etc.). Data updates monthly. And it’s free — just sign up at eccompass.ai grab a token, done.

Not affiliated, just sharing because it’s genuinely saved me a ton of time. If you’re doing cross-border and still doing competitor research manually, worth a try.
